A number of popular items are being pulled from shelves at Canada’s big-name stores, and the safety concerns are alarming.

A Costco recall involves Igor brand Gorgonzola mild ripened blue-veined cheese (Costco item 1370247, 350-gram size, UPC 8 021398 400069 with Best Before of 2023/FE/01).

The product is being pulled from the marketplace due to possible Listeria contamination, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The recalled product was sold in Costco warehouse locations in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick between November 22 to December 8, 2022.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask you to please pass this information along to anyone to whom the product may have been given,” Costco said in its recall warning to shoppers.
