قال وزير الأمن العام إن كندا ستدرج 13 مجموعة على قائمة الجماعات التي تعتبر من الكيانات الإرهابية ومن بينها جماعة براود بويز التي تم تصنيفها من فئة النازيين الجدد لتنضم تلك الجماعة إلى غيرها من الجماعات على القائمة التي تضم جماعات متطرفة أيديولوجيا منها المنظمات المسلحة التي توصف بارتباطها للجماعات الإسلامية المتطرفة على حد وصف تلك القوائم

Public Safety Minister Bill Blair announced today that the federal government will designate 13 groups as terrorist entities, adding some white nationalist and neo-Nazi groups to a list already populated with militant Islamist organizations.

The Government of Canada has placed 13 new groups on the Criminal Code list of terrorist entities, including four ideologically motivated violent extremist groups: Atomwaffen Division, the Base, the Proud Boys and Russian Imperial Movement.

Canadians expect their government to take all necessary steps to keep them safe, while safeguarding their values, their rights and freedoms and the open, inclusive character of our country. The Criminal Code listing regime is an important tool for countering terrorism in Canada and globally, and is part of that commitment.

The federal government will now classify the Proud Boys (a neo-fascist organization with chapters in Canada and the U.S.), the Atomwaffen Division, AWD (a group that calls for acts of violence against racial, religious and ethnic groups), and the Base (another neo-Nazi organization that advocates for violence to incite a race war), as terrorist entities under the Criminal Code.

The government considers these three groups, along with another new addition, the Russian Imperial Movement (a Russian paramilitary group with ties to neo-Nazi groups worldwide), as “ideologically motivated violent extremists.”
