Terry Baksh wanted for attempted murder after police officer seriously injured during altercation

Toronto police are looking for a man they allege seriously injured one of their officers during an altercation last weekend.

Just after 11:20 p.m. on Nov. 21, an officer was patrolling the area of Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West when he heard gunshots nearby.

He saw a car fleeing the area at a high rate of speed and caught up with the vehicle at Scarlett Road and East Drive.

The officer signalled for the driver to stop, but instead he allegedly struck the officer and dragged him for more than 50 metres. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Terry Baksh, 39, of Toronto, is wanted for attempted murder, dangerous driving, flight from police, failure to comply with recognizance and driving while disqualified.
